This dirt path, mostly used by Amish buggies, is featured prominently in the opening sequence of New Territory. We would sometimes have to stop filming to let carriages go by.
The opening sequence of New Territory was shot on a farm in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The owners were kind enough to let us shoot on their land in between plantings. The Amish wandered through our shots from time to time as well.

The beginning of the short story written by my father which I adapted into a short film. His version took place in the late 40s/early 50s. I changed the era to the late 70s/early 80s for my version.
